IndyMac Bank to outsource to India
US based IndyMac Bank offering home loans, construction & mortgage lending, has unveiled the plans to outsource its services in India by striking a deal with EXL-Services- a third party BPO. In order to meet the operational demand for IndyMac Bank, EXL is planning to recruit 1,500 people this year to meet the operational demand.
The deal comes at a resourceful time when the BPO Industry in India is in a high. The tremendous growth within BPO in India is constant and basically the industry is very strong and sound at the moment. The infrastructure in India for the deliverance of BPO services has been molded exactly the way it should have been.
A lot of revenue is been generated due to the migration by US and European companies for outsourcing their activities to India. Everybody is entitled to make a lot of money. Whether it’s the employees, the BPO players, or the clients and customers as well. India's revenue from BPO in India will grow from slightly under $1 billion in 2002 to $1.2 billion in 2003 and will represent 66 percent of the offshore BPO market – a report by research analyst Gartner suggests.
