The onset of BPO industry in India has now come of ages. BPO in India has undergone a lot of maturity and progress. Companies (mainly from US) outsourcing services to India has shown a lot of faith in their Indian clients. Small BPO service providers will look to merge or dissolve as the market is strengthening and brand-image is considered. Companies looking to outsource business services to India will soon be considering major BPO service providers and it is predictable that small BPO firms will run out business.

The most severe impact of the emergence of BPO in India must have been the job-shifting phenomena in the US.
