India is the reply for outsourcing
The growth of BPO sector in India is evaluated mainly due to the strong basic principles of the companies worldwide. The Corporate sector worldwide is realizing that miniscule operations such as contact center, bookkeeping, inventories and relative activities needs to be strong for the smooth functioning of the firm. As such, outsourcing became of utter importance. While outsourcing was becoming very important, it needed to be done at lowest, minimum cost. Hence, India came as their reply for outsourcing, which marked the growth of BPO in India.
The South Pacific region is showing some promising growth with India and China set to dominate economy of the region. Barring Japan, the South Pacific region is poised for an annual growth of 5.6% for another four years – until 2007. The Indian BPO industry has a significant role by tapping the service industry from the west. BPO in India will represent 66 percent of the offshore BPO (business process outsourcing) market in 2003
