Morgan Stanley comes to India for BPO
New York, US based universal banking giant Morgan Stanley is on terms to open their BPO facility in India – joining the bandwagon of numerous companies from US outsourcing business to India. The deal will open 1,600 jobs in at its Mumbai facility promoted by Mindspace. The Indian BPO facility will be the spinal cord of the Morgan Stanley’s operation and along with other services – the services will include back-end processing, investor query services and research back up.
The Indian BPO industry presently stands at $1.2 billion dollars and enormous growth is assumed for the coming five years. According to an estimate BPO in India will grow between $20-24 billion in the next five years.
The Indian BPO industry has done good to almost everybody involved in it. Except for the huge outcry - that caught attention - by the workers in the US and UK – and Australia recently, offshore outsourcing had been good to everybody. The bilateral dialogues between the corporate world of West and India have grown dramatically. This is the constantly weaving the globalization that is future of the planet. The companies outsourcing business to India are making enormous savings – something that every puts on the top-most agendas. And lastly country like India that is still coping with massive unemployment has been getting few jobs. BPO in India have grown manifolds within last few years. The quality assurance and cost-effective manpower in India has resulted into 66% of the total offshoring business coming to India.
