Third party BPO service by GE

GE Capitals - one of the major BPO service providers in India will be offering BPO services to third parties. As president and CEO, GE India - Scott Bayman quoted, “will pass this one,” means GE will be altering their corporate platform because earlier the company had decided not to undertake third party work. Presently GE employs over 11,000 people in India for their back-offices from four different locations viz. Bangalore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Jaipur. The tactical shift offering BPO services to third party would bolster BPO Industry in India – already transforming into $-billion industry.

BPO in India is renovating into a value-added, quality driven industry – as the US corporate sector is in hasty rush to outsource partial business activities to India. The idea going offshore is the direct result of massive savings that Indian BPO enables. BPO in India typically offers numerous back-end services such as contact centers, software solutions, remote monitoring, data entry, inventories etc. These petty activities soak much of energy and time. Accessing third party help for such activities (i.e. service sector) is the new buzz that gripping the corporate world. As a result the BPO Industry in India is blasting to new horizons - churning out trade worth billions of dollars.
