PEROT System acquired Chennai based BPO

In yet another news making event in the BPO segment in India, Perot Systems, a technology services provider, has acquired Vision Healthsource Private Limited, a Chennai-based BPO company. Vision Healthsource, which was incorporated for Medical Transcription practice had lately been providing services in the areas of accountancy, tax practice, legal services, medical diagnostics and treatment, banking transactions processing, HRD, payroll processing, equity research to high-end engineering services.

India BPO activities recorded almost Rs 7,100 crore to and fro business in the year 2001. In the year 2000 the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market - worldwide - stood at $119 billion, which is expected to cross $234 billion mark by 2005. BPO in Indian market is estimated to grow 14 times by the year 2008 determining the current market structure. The gigantism of the BPO in US can be estimated by the fact it provides employment to 3% of the total US population. All the companies nowadays whether large or small are looking eager to outsource their business in order to reduce trivial office chores.

BPO in India is the most happening thing even for the corporate firms in US. By outsourcing their business to India, US economy have made enormous savings. BPO industry in India has acquired the reputation of providing high-end to low-end business services at a very nominal cost.
