BPO in the Indian Terrain!

Indian currently stakes at $10 billion approximately – annually - for the Business Process Outsourcing. An analyst firm - Brean Murray Institutional Research reveals that India might grow five times from its current status, to grow into $50 billion Business Outsourcing Industry by the year 2008.

Despite of various uncertainties growing in United States of America over the migration of jobs, Business Outsource Processing (BPO) in India is progressing well into the mainstream of Indian Economy. Today, when India captures 70% of US outsource market, it seems feeble that US government would introduce any rash decision in this context.

In a recent move – Aditya Birla Groups, Indian Rayon ventured into BPO sector, when it acquired TransWorks for estimated $13 millions. The scope of BPO in India is wide and large. Cost-oriented, value driven services have aroused more and more companies (many from Fortune-500) to outsource their business to India. It is very likely that there is no turning back for Indian BPO sector. Cost-effectiveness of these BPO will always persuade corporate houses to find their feet in the Indian soil.
