BPO industry to grow 14 times in five years
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in India is in its prime form. The massive exodus by the corporate from United States and European Nations means that BPO in India is peaking to ecstasy. Reports from Mumbai-based Gartner India Research and Advisory Services predict that India will cater to 66% of the global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market by 2007.
There is a lot of buzz going around in the Indian BPO sector in recent. Few days ago Godrej Group of companies showed their interest for 100% BPO attainment. Kale Consultants registered a gain at the SENSEX after the company's plan of venturing into BPO segment. Phillips, Computer Service Corporation (CSC), PEROT, the list is long. Numerous newer and older players are becoming a part of the conglomerate building slowly and steadily in India.
Present US $119 billion BPO sector world-over will be coupled in three years time. Within five years time BPO in India is assumed to grow a remarkable 14 times.
