Bangalore & Mumbai- Safest BPO Hubs

According to a recent study conducted by Hill & Associates, a leading independent enterprise security and risk management consultancy firm, said in their study that business environments are changing around the world and India is also imbibing a lot from this. The study reveals that Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad have emerged as low risk BPO locations.

The growing interdependencies and connectivity means that the BPO sector is prone to vulnerabilities that may impact operations, reputations and bottom line of a company on a global scale. And most of the time the security concerns arises due to the infrastructural deficiencies of the BPO units.

Other cities that were considered in the survey included Kolkata, Cochin, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow. But the three leading locations came out particularly good in case of cost effectiveness to counter any security breach. The BPO business is no more concerned only with cost savings; in fact, it is more concerned about the quality of work and how safe the data is on the outsourcing network as it changes hands.

The high attrition rates in the Indian BPO sector is also an issue as the data tends to move out of organisatiuons as the employee leaves the job. With the amended IT Act in place, the BPO sector is sure to get a facelift in the global scenario as a matured, responsible and advanced industry.
